Ceremony To Take Place February 14, 2015 At Paramount Studios
The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) today announced nominations in 19 categories honoring make-up artists and hair stylists outstanding achievements in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater. President Sue Cabral-Ebert announced the nominations. Winners will be revealed during the black-tie 2015 Annual MUAHS Guild Awards ceremony taking place on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Paramount Studios. The MUAHS Awards after-party is courtesy of M.A.C. Cosmetics. Spirits presented will be presented by Patron Tequila.
"We are so excited to receive a record number of entries for our crafts from all over the world," said Cabral-Ebert. "The response and enthusiasm of the entertainment community was remarkable. Thanks to our dedicated committee who viewed all the submissions and made very tough choices. We are proud of our talented nominees and the work that was submitted this year representing the finest of our craft."
As previously announced, Oscar®-winning make-up artist Rick Baker and Emmy®-nominated hair stylist Kathryn Blondell will receive the Guild's Lifetime Achievement Awards. Final ballot voting begins on Monday, January 19, 2015 and closes on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 5pm (PST).

Simian Gets An Evolutionary Boost For Collaboration, Reveals “Teams”
Simian, the showreel-building, review & approval, and production asset management platform used globally by creative leaders, is kicking off this fall season with a substantial leap forward for collaboration and project management – with more updates on the way during the holidays!
The new feature, aptly dubbed “Teams”, makes it easier than ever for users to give project responsibilities to team members and clients alike. “You can never have too many options when it comes to permission levels,” says Jay Brooks, Simian’s Chief Technology Officer. “Teams provides a streamlined way to assign multiple users to a project at once.”
“Teams are very powerful, but creating one is effortless,” Brian Atton, Simian’s Chief Operating Officer explains. “Simply enter a Team name, add members, and then apply the newly made Team to any desired project. You can even invite temporary guests without changing settings for other projects or needing to create a new Team.”
