NYC boutique production company Logical Chaos, Inc. has upped founder Kevin R. Frech to Artistic Director. The title reflects the increased creative demands of the growing company.
“It’s no longer enough to just deliver an effective message,” says Kevin. “People are distracted and fragmented, so our clients need content that involves their audience from the start, works across multiple media and resonates. We’re getting involved earlier in the development stage to meet those challenges.”
Kevin recently created commercials and promotional videos for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 2013-2014 season, including Ailey’s debut of “Chroma” by renowned choreographer Wayne McGregor. He also directed a behind-the-scenes film that observes choreographer Aszure Barton, a Baryshnikov protรฉgรฉ, as she sets a new work on the company. “Ailey is wonderful to work with,” continues Kevin. “They really get how video can help relate the story of their organization, which is itself in the business of entertaining and educating audiences worldwide.”
Kevin’s latest feature-length documentary, The Other Side of the Fence, exploring the high-stakes issues of animal poaching and poverty in Africa, has been picked up for international distribution by Parthenon Entertainment.
As Logical Chaos builds further bridges between the worlds of independent filmmaking and commercial content, the company has also promoted Wendy Frech to Executive Director to meet those needs. Wendy’s extensive marketing and event production background includes overseeing ad budgets for Hamilton Watch, producing a radio station from scratch and serving as executive producer of the Radio Mercury Awards, the premiere creative competition for radio. She was previously VP/Marketing at the Radio Advertising Bureau.
