MUAHS Awards to be held Saturday, February 15, 2025
The Lifetime Achievement Award nominees for the 12th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706), presented by Giovanni Eco Chic Beauty, have been announced by Julie Socash, IATSE Local 706 President. This prestigious award recognizes a Make-Up Artist and a Hair Stylist who each have an exceptional spectrum of acclaimed work and have made significant contributions in the entertainment industry. The winners will be revealed on November 7, 2024, and honored at the MUAHS Gala on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel.
The nominees for the Lifetime Achievement Award include some of the most talented and influential Make-Up artists and Hair Stylists in the industry. Among them are Make-Up Artists Bruce Hutchinson, Michael K. Johnston, Todd McIntosh, Ronnie Specter, and Brad Wilder. The nominees for Hair Stylists are Anne Medusah Aulenta, Cydney Cornell, Bunny Parker, Lyndell Quiyou and Peter Tothpal.
The MUAHS Awards recognize excellence in the artistry and creativity of make-up artists and hair stylists in 23 categories including motion pictures, television, music videos and theater entertainment. This year, the theater category has expanded to include Broadway and international theater productions. Honorees for the Distinguished Artisan Award and Vanguard Award will be announced later.
MUAHS “Behind the Slate” panels of the 2025 Lifetime Achievement nominees, exploring their achievements, challenges and creativity, will be available on Friday, October 11, when online voting begins. The MUAHS “Behind the Slate” panels are produced by Dan Evans, IngleDodd Media.

Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) Announces 2024 Film Line-Ups
The Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) announced the festival’s Main Competition and Short Film lineups; select, noteworthy screenings; special program highlights; and centerpiece film. Celebrating its 10th anniversary of showcasing Asian film from around the world, AWFF will take place November 13-21, 2024, at The Culver Theater in Culver City, CA. The nine-day festival will present narrative and documentary motion pictures and short films from 27 countries, including four that premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. More than 30 of the screenings will feature live Q&As with the filmmakers, talent, and crew. Georges N.
