KeJo Productions, LLC today announced completion of production on the feature film, “Sensored,” starring Robert Picardo (Star Trek Voyager, Stargate: Atlantis), with local award winning short film and music video director, Ryan Todd.
“Sensored” captures the steady unraveling of a children’s book author’s twisted, lurid psyche. The film shot in Placer County and the City of Sacramento through February, and is one of several projects that filmmakers Kevin and Jo Haskin have in the works at KeJo Productions.
“This film is a grass-roots effort, and I’m thrilled we are able to make it happen in our own community,” said Jo. Kevin adds, “We’ve shot some award winning short films locally and people got excited about this feature length script I wrote. When Executive Producer Torrey Loomis of Silverado Studios in Folsom got involved, we knew we had a movie. His studio owns two RED ONE cameras, so we simply started scrambling, calling friends and industry contacts to make this happen, and here we are with a project ‘in-the-can’ produced by an amazing local team”
“I’ve been fortunate to get to know Kevin and Jo over the last year. They are both very talented professionals and awesome people.” said Torrey Loomis of Silverado Studios. He added “When they wanted to use our new RED ONE digital cinema camera for ‘Sensored’ I jumped at the chance to get involved. Our new 4k technology paired with KeJo’s brilliant and talented team and inspiring work ethic combined to produce a film that is huge on production value and heavy in screen talentโwhile keeping the budget down to an unheard-of amount for a 35mm film-grade project.”
“It’s a culmination of wonderful local talent sprinkled with industry professionals and premiere new technology,” adds Eric Mansur, a long-time friend of the Haskins and a producer on the film.
Look for “Sensored” in theatres this Halloween.
