Indie filmmaker Jonah Ingram has joined the director roster of Nametag Films. The multi-disciplined writer-director-editor is known for creating emotionally-charged human stories for large-scale audiences.

Recently, Ingram wrote and directed the feature documentary, The End Malice, starring Pharrell Williams, “Pusha T,” and Gene “No Malice” Thornton.  His poetic take on the life of a “coke rap” pioneer attracted Sean Comb’s Revolt TV for Global broadcast and theatrical screenings nationwide.

Ingram’s Hollywood career began by sneaking onto LA studios to shop a demo reel of ecletic short films. Within months, he became the go-to producer and editor of movie trailers for Disney, 20th Century Fox, and Universal. As a last minute hire, Ingram designed the main title sequence for then little-known series Hannah Montana - which launched Miley Cyrus’ career overnight, and Disney’s reputation as a modern hitmaker. His creative leadership marketing Demi Lovato’s Camp Rock helped land Disney Channel the largest cable audience of the year.

Tapping into a “functionally contrarian” nature is what Ingram says drives him to position his client’s message in an energized new light.

Ingram has worked alongside high-profile brands (Under Armour, Red Bull, Pepsi) and grass roots organizations alike (National Breast Cancer Foundation, I Am Second, FFA). Subjects of his candid personal stories include President Barack Obama, Tupac Shakur, Michael Phelps, Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, Scott Hamilton, NFL’s Jeff Fisher, and Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson.

“Being your own worst critic,” is a notion Jonah resists. He adds, “Instead, I focus on being the story’s biggest fan. To find hidden things to love. To spark intrigue towards a story that we - the tellers and the brand - can enjoy together.”

Ingram describes Nametag Films as “tailor fit.” “The only thing more rewarding than telling a great story is telling it with great people. I’m thrilled and humbled to enter the Nametag family.”

“Jonah’s passion for storytelling, his cinematic style, along with a strong editing background will be a great creative resource for our clients. He has a gift of looking at projects in a unique way this is very intriguing,” said Joe Young, Head of Production with Nametag Films.
