Jay Silverman Productions and its founder Jay Silverman, a preeminent commercial director of advertising campaigns across the television, interactive, and print media, have produced and Silverman directed a nationally syndicated, 30-second TV commercial starring Pat Sajak and Vanna White. Jay Silverman made the announcement.
To date, this nationally syndicated TV spot has just begun to air in 4 U.S. markets, with another 20 markets slated to air it soon. The spots will be customized for each lottery to air in their local jurisdiction. To view the spot, please see: www.jaysilverman.com.spotShow/index.php?spotID=87
Jay Silverman Productions’ client, MDI Entertainment, a wholly owned subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation, has the exclusive right to license the use of the Wheel of Fortune brand for scratch-off ticket lottery games.
MDI hired TG Madison, an Atlanta-based advertising agency, to create the concepts for MDI, and selected Jay Silverman to produce the spot featuring Wheel of Fortune® stars Sajak and White.
In the Silverman-produced commercial, Pat Sajak appears as a convenience store clerk. A customer enters the store to purchase a Wheel of Fortune lottery ticket, and is surprised to see both Sajak and Vanna White standing behind the counter. In addition, Silverman Productions filmed the talent in the graphics-driven “world” in which Sajak and White appear. In that video, the duo explain that lottery players can win a trip to Los Angeles and a chance to participate in a non-broadcast, lottery players-only game of Wheel Of Fortune, with a chance to win up to one million dollars.
“We’re very pleased with how this commercial turned out, and think it really captures the wit and personalities of Pat Sajak and Vanna White,” said Steve Saferin, President, Properties Group and Chief Creative Officer for Scientific Games. “It’s sure to be an attention-getter, and it does a great job of conveying the excitement of this game and the chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to go to Hollywood and play Wheel of Fortune in studio with Pat and Vanna.”
Jay Silverman said, “Pat Sajak and Vanna White are truly established as exemplifying ‘Americana.’ They were terrific to work with and as always, very spot on during the filming.”
