Tag Gross and Bob Montero, the management of Pirate New York, have acquired the operation and have re-launched it as Sticky Audio Labs, a 360ยฐ audio solution for brands and their agencies. Sticky is a full service music and sound agency integrating creative, production and strategy across all platforms. They have been joined by sound branding pioneer Scott Elias as Chief Strategy Officer, as well as industry veteran Jordan Rednor and Seth Friedland as investors.
“What differentiates us from other music production, radio production or audio post companies” Gross explained, “is the ability to provide our clients with a robust strategic framework that provides a brand voice across all communication channels from social to digital to mainstream. We have the unique ability to execute and manage across all of those platforms. Sound and music are too important to not move into the future with a better way, brands expect more to engage and retain consumer interest.”
Since the acquisition Sticky has been awarded Best Use of Music in a Campaign by the Association of Music Producers and had 5 radio commercials as finalists in The Mercury Awards. The company has also completed work on a sound-branding project designing a complete audio identity system for the launch of AIO, a new AT&T brand that is being used on devices, on air, digitally and experientially.
Scott Elias summed it up, “We’re sonic pioneers that see enormous opportunity to connect-the-dots with audio’s power creating impact that makes brands resonate.
