Company Continues Expansion With In-House Sales
Hybrid Edit has named Lauren Schuchman Director of New Business for all territories. Schuchman joins Hybrid from serving as Production Manager for global commercial production house Moxie Pictures.
Hybrid has made a number of significant changes to creative capabilities, including a soon-to-be-launched content division, and are looking to Lauren to further the company’s growth into new markets and opportunities.
A Los Angeles native, Lauren comes with a creative background in writing, visual and performing arts. She got her start studying theatre at Emerson College and comedy writing/performance at The Groundlings, ultimately earning her Bachelors from USC. She began in ads working beneath reps Dana Balkin, Renee Krumweide, Stephanie Hodge and Raquel Elfassi at Resource LA.
“I didn’t expect to return to sales from physical production” says Schuchman, “but I’m excited to be part of what Hybrid is doing and where they’re headed.” She adds, “The sales role has changed. In fact most industry models are dying and agencies especially are looking for creative people to help elevate their work and present innovative ways to communicate concepts, through a number of mediums.”
“Hybrid was founded by truly gifted creative storytellers, not simply spot cutters,” says Schuchman. “There’s so much talent to offer here and I look forward to getting the word out.”

Faced with tight deadlines and strained budgets, creative teams are often tempted to select music for their content simply because it “fits.” Unfortunately, that may result in content that is in tune with what’s trending but is out of tune with brand identity. Effective sonic branding, by contrast, requires thoughtful strategic planning,... Read More
