Hollywood-based VFX company Dilated Pixels (DP) was the sole visual effects vendor for the new feature film “Sparkle” from Sony Pictures. “Sparkle” is Whitney Houston’s final film project. Dilated Pixels’ founding members, TJ Sakasegawa, Jeff Balis, Rhoades Rader and PJ Foley made the announcement.
For “Sparkle,” the Dilated Pixels team produced over 50 VFX shots.
Dilated Pixels worked closely with the studio and Salim Akil, the director of “Sparkle,” to provide a seamless and organic authenticity to the “Sparkle” world. Said the Dilated Pixels Founders, “We’re honored to have had the opportunity to contribute our visual effects imagery to what is sure to become a ‘must see’ movie.”
