The Hollywood Post Alliance® has opened its Call for Entries for the 2011 HPA® Judges Award for Creativity and Innovation in Post Production. Conceived to recognize companies and individuals who have demonstrated excellence in post production, whether in creative storytelling and/or technical innovation, the Creativity and Innovation Award will be bestowed at the 6th Annual HPA Awards. The Awards ceremony is set for November 10, 2011 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Now in its 3rd year, the Creativity and Innovation Award acknowledges those inventive companies and individuals who have demonstrated innovative thought and contribution to the post production process or to the post production industry through the use of new approaches, tools, workflows and ideas that help enhance the post production process from a technical, creative or efficiency perspective. These carefully chosen and discretionary acknowledgements are peer recognition of unique creative projects or other types of content; workflows, proprietary technical developments, hardware or software toolsets, or creative approaches or achievements worthy of recognition.
A jury of peers will review submissions and select the winners. Judging is currently scheduled for late August. The Creativity and Innovation Award does not have to be given every year and will only be awarded to those projects deemed to show excellence in creative and innovative thinking or achievement.
