Connie Stevens has attached to direct her second feature film, “Prairie Bones.” In a career that has spanned over 50 years Connie has gained worldwide popularity and recognition as a multi-talented performer, producer, actress and businesswoman. She has served 4 years, twice elected as the National Secretary-Treasurer of the Screen Actors Guild and she continues to retain and grow her cosmetic empire in its 22nd year.
Connie recently concluded her directorial debut (which she also co-wrote and produced) on the motion picture “Saving Grace B. Jones.” The film is soon to be released starring Michael Biehn, Tatum O’Neal, Penelope Ann Miller and Joel Gretsch.
“Prairie Bones” takes place amidst the stark beauty of the 1870’s Nebraska prairie. A young couple use music, love and sheer determination to survive an unthinkable tragedy and to settle the vast, dangerous new land they will make their home. The film will be produced by IsWas, It Starts With A Story Productions, principals: Susan Touchbourne, Tom Ecobelli, Carolyn Long, Concetta Di Matteo.
“Prairie Bones” was written by Susan Touchbourne and Tom Ecobelli. Separately, they have two other feature films in pre-production: Susan Touchbourne‘s epic feature, “Crashing Wall Street,” directed by Phil Hawkins, is slated for 2011. Tom Ecobelli‘s feature drama, “Chickadee,” co-written with Lora Lee Ecobelli and directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman is also slated for 2011.
Carolyn Long and Concetta Di Matteo have cast many feature films with such notable actors as Ryan Reynolds, Peter Fonda, Stanley Tucci, Kate Kapshaw, William Shatner, Josh Holloway, Janeane Garafolo, Dennis Haysbert, Kris Kristofferson, Keith Carradine and David Arquette. Currently they are casting the features, Confessions From Philly and Chickadee.
