The Hit House, a premier, custom music and sound design company acclaimed across the feature film, trailer, television, and advertising industries, has relocated to new studios in South Torrance, CA. The company’s new address is 4611 Milne Drive, South Torrance, CA 90505.
In bigger news, The Hit House has signed trailer composer Danail Getz. “We are excited to add Danail’s considerable talents to our roster,” said Sally House, Executive Producer/Co-Founder. “His high-energy, action-packed style gives us yet another soundscape to explore.”
Danail graduated from The Classical Conservatory of Sofia in Bulgaria, and in recognition of his talent, was immediately awarded a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston. He got his start in the film scoring business in Hollywood, working in the music preparation teams for blockbusters like the Star Wars trilogy, Harry Potter, and Star Trek, and for global superstars like Elton John, Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion.
Soon thereafter, Danail was composing, orchestrating, and contributing music to the animated movie sequels of Cinderella and The Land Before Time, and spoof comedy films Superhero Movie and Scary Movie 4, while also providing bone-chilling orchestrations to such horror films as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Hostel. From there, Danail switched to the world of trailers. His music has been used in hundreds of high-profile trailers including those promoting Prometheus, Ice Age: Continental Drift, Men In Black 3, The Hunger Games, Star Trek, The King’s Speech, Hereafter, Despicable Me, Iron Man 2, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Terminator Salvation.
