HiFi Project, the Santa Monica music production company headed by composer/creative director Paul Robb and executive producer Birgit Roberts, has teamed with music producer Jack Bradley to open an office in New York. Bradley, who assumes the role of partner and executive producer will add his broad-ranging musical resources to HiFi and will now head East Coast operations.
The launch of HiFi, New York, follows the company’s recent expansion of its Santa Monica headquarters, which doubled the size of its production facility and includes a new, purpose-built live room. HiFi now plans to leverage Bradley’s lengthy experience in music and deep relationships in the advertising industry to continue extending its reach and building its creative portfolio.
“We’ve wanted to have a presence in New York for a long time, but we’ve been waiting to find the right person…and now we’ve got him,” said Robb. “Jack has a unique approach to music that will enrich the HiFi brand; he’s a hands-on producer who really likes to involve himself in the process.”
“We talked to a lot of people and Jack’s name kept coming up,” added Roberts. “We were very impressed with his enthusiasm and his knowledge. Our approach to the business is very simpatico.”
Bradley, whose experience as a music producer includes work for Lowe’s, Pizza Hut, ESPN, GE, Walmart and Seattle’s Best Coffee (the latter a radio campaign that just picked up a Bronze Lion at Cannes), said that teaming with HiFi was an opportunity he could not pass up. “Paul is unquestionably one of the top composers in advertising, with superb taste and creative vision, and Birgit is a kindred spirit with a great talent for relationship building,” he asserted. “Together, we make a great team that can build something special.”
Bradley began his career with Arnold Advertising, Boston, where he worked on McDonald’s and other accounts. He later opened a New York office for San Diego-based music house Singing Serpent and served as its executive producer for three years, and more recently created and headed the New York-based music production company Blackboard 3.
Bradley will work with Roberts and Patti Renick, HiFi’s head of sales, to implement a new business development plan and build ties to New York-based agencies. HiFi has recently worked with several New York agencies, including, most recently, Saatchi & Saatchi on a campaign for Olay. Other recent credits for HiFi include Toyota, Lexus, Jenn Air and a recent trailer for the film “Inception.”
