Detail-Focused Producer Has Worked on Some of the World's Most Recognized Brands
Havas Worldwide Chicago has named Matt Faris, a veteran producer of national work for some of the world’s biggest brands, as Director of Broadcast and Digital Production.
Faris will lead a team of broadcast and digital producers to orchestrate engaging content for interactive and broadcast formats. Havas Worldwide Chicago has always strived to produce the best ideas regardless of medium, the newly created role reflects ongoing agency changes that support Chief Creative Officer Jason Peterson’s vision of putting ideas first.
“Jason shares my passion for storytelling,” Faris said of his desire to join the agency. “I wanted to be a part of something new and special, and the talent in this building – along with the agency’s passion for good work – were easy draws for me.”
Faris joins Havas Worldwide Chicago from Atlanta- and Tampa-based agency 22squared, where he led integrated campaigns for clients such as Buffalo Wild Wings and Jackson Hewitt. As Senior Vice President, Director of Production, Faris restructured the Broadcast, Interactive and Print production departments to create that agency’s first Integrated Production Department. Before that, he was a broadcast producer at Kansas City agency Bernstein-Rein, where he worked on brands that included Walmart and McDonalds. Faris earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Faris believes that every minute detail matters when leading a dynamic group to accomplish a complex task. This precision and focus had long captured his new colleagues’ attention.
“Matt’s title is Head of Production but he is really a Production Architect,” said CCO Jason Peterson. “He is exactly what the agency needs given the state of our business. Architects use the resources available to create an experience greater than the sum of its parts.”

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
