Two prominent charities have enjoyed the recent corporate sponsorship of GT Events, a boutique Event Marketing Firm and Brand Promotions Agency based in Culver City, CA. Both, the Creative Visions Foundation, which inspires and supports creative activists, and the Joyful Heart Foundation, founded by Mariska Hargitay, which combats sexual assault and domestic violence, have presented recent events in Los Angeles and Hawaii. GT Events and its founders Amy & Becky Glass, and David Scheinberg, the company’s Senior VP/Creative Director, have played a prominent role in supporting these worthy causes. The company also produces promotional marketing events for the entertainment industry.
Recent such activities include:
• CREATIVE VISIONS FOUNDATION GT Events supported the “Evening with Greta Garbo” event, just held by the Creative Visions Foundation in Beverly Hills. The event auctioned off dozens of items from Greta Garbo’s estate at Julien’s Auctions. In attendance were celebrities Patricia Arquette and Dita Von Teese. The event was MC’d by Creative Visions Foundation co-founder Kathy Eldon.
GT Events also recently produced a non-profit gala held in Santa Monica for the Creative Visions Foundation. Entitled “Turn On LA,” the fundraiser featured presenters Chris Nolan, Maria Bello, Tom Shadyac, and Lindsay Price. Celebrity sponsors of that event included Patricia Arquette, Geena Davis, Rikki Lake, Trudie Styler and Jon & Amy Turtletaub.
Creative Visions Foundation inspires and supports creative activistsโindividuals who use media and the artsโto raise awareness of critical issues around the globe and ignite positive change. The foundation helps activists harness the power of the media, arts and technology to solve global problems in the areas of human rights, environment, youth and education, women empowerment, and global consciousness. • JOYFUL HEART FOUNDATION Working directly with the founder of the Joyful Heart Foundation renowned actress Mariska Hargitay (“Law and Order: Special Victims Unit,”) GT Events recently served as a corporate sponsor of a fundraising event โentitled the “Joyful Mele” โ which was held at The Kahala Resort in Hawaii.
In addition, Amy and Becky Glass, co-founders of GT Events, have just been named to join the charity’s LA Executive Committee. “We are blessed to have become close with Mariska Hargitay and we are delighted to be closely involved with this wonderful charity,” the Glass Sisters said. “We support the Joyful Heart Foundation with a passion!”
The Joyful Heart Foundation works to foster a community that turns toward the issues of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse. Such a community, empowered with knowledge, courage and compassion, can support survivors of this violence and engage in an open dialogue about how to collaboratively end the cycle of violence and abuse. • FOX TV & FX TELEVISION NETWORK PROMOTIONS Working in tandem with client Hadley Media earlier this year, GT Events activated a series of marketing events in which young women, nationwide (in 20 major U.S. markets,) distributed materials promoting the television series “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” for FOX TV.
Also earlier this year, working directly with the Marketing Department of the FX Television Network, GT Events produced (during Comic-Con) a well-received media stunt in which dozens of actors, dressed up in dog costumes, posed alongside giant fire hydrants located throughout the San Diego area. The stunt was to promote the FX TV comedy series “Wilfred.”
About THE FOUNDERS OF GT EVENTS
As identical twins, Amy and Becky Glass, Co-Founders/Co-Presidents of GT Events, entered into the marketing industry at an early age. Their endless energy and natural talent for making a memorable impression gave them an early start and twice the advantage in the promotional marketing industry. In fact, no less an icon than Donald Trump was one of the first businessmen in the country to recognize the Glass Twins for their business savvy, quick witted trouble shooting, and intelligence. Before their senior year in college at Rutgers University, “The Donald” brought the Glass Sisters into his Corporation as the “Trump Twins,” thus making Amy and Becky two of the first, real-life “Apprentices.”
