The Napoleon Group, the leading previsualization and commercial test company, is expanding, opening a Los Angeles office to augment its New York City headquarters.
One year after moving into a new 14,000-square-foot custom-built studio in New York’s lively Flatiron District, The Napoleon Group continues a trajectory of growth with the new West Coast location. Dustin Bowlin will be leading the charge as Business Development Executive, covering everything west of the Mississippi and tailoring The Napoleon Group’s portfolio of products and services to best suit clients’ projects.
“The Napoleon Group has always been distinguished by the unique level of service we provide,” says Napoleon’s Director of Business Development Paul Johnson. “With the opening of a West Coast location helmed by someone with Dustin’s expertise, we look forward to attending to clients’ needs first-hand and adding a personal touch to our relationships.”
An advertising veteran with 15 years experience in editing, compositing, special effects, composing and sound design, Bowlin began his career as an assistant editor at Charlex in New York in 1999 and has gone on to increasingly significant roles on numerous projects for the documentary, advertising, lifestyle, fashion, technology, fine art and feature film industries. At Baypost Inc. in Los Angeles, he managed operations and outside sales for a range of post-production products. As founder and creative director of Barn and Cottage Productions, he worked on United Nations/Beyoncé World Humanitarian Day 2012 and music videos directed by Danny Clinch for The Avett Brothers, Preservation Jazz Hall and The Whigs, in addition to serving as associate producer and post-production supervisor for the critically acclaimed feature film "Two Gates of Sleep,” which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Director's Fortnight and took the top prize at the Copenhagen PIX 2011 festival. Most recently, Bowlin spent two years as a freelance editor and compositor for Napoleon.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be representing The Napoleon Group on the West Coast,” says Bowlin. “Not only do I hope to bolster our relationships in markets outside of New York, but also introduce our services and approach to potential clients worldwide. Having a presence in Los Angeles allows us to reach clients in California as well as the entire western region of the United States, Mexico, Australia and Asia. As global markets shift away from old norms, I can't think of a better strategy for Napoleon to adopt.”
Doug Miller, president of The Napoleon Group, agrees. "We are excited about this growth opportunity,” he says. “Over the years, we have built a loyal following on the West Coast and establishing a full-time presence there was the logical next step of our long-term plan."
