Global Production Network (GPN) recently held its first annual summit in Florence, Italy where 23 network delegate companies/countries from around the globe gathered to discuss issues pertaining to the global production services market. Among the topics discussed were; the current financial issues impacting budgets, production service mark-ups, new communications technologies, growth and branding, local and global production trends, and AICP budgeting standards and practices.
“The summit was organized in August and September โ a fairly quick turn-around given summer holidays, work schedules and geography, but we managed to pull together almost one-third of the GPN’s companies,” said Harry Tracosas, GPN Founder. “Given the way 2009 has evolved, I thought it important to gather people together to discuss what is taking place in our respective countries, and as a whole globally. The discussions were lively, to say the least.”
Tracosas plans to hold GPN summits annually. Kenya, Iceland, Hungary and Norway have already shown an interest in hosting the 2010 summit next October. Global Production Network (GPN) represents a network of top-tier production service companies from around the world. Founded in 2003 by Harry Tracosas, and based in Los Angeles, GPN’s current company/country reach extends to 70+ worldwide. For more information, please visit www.globalproductionnetwork.com.
