Foundation Content, an Indie Film/Advertising and Production Collective specializing in cross-platform marketing for clients ranging from Walmart to MySpace, has hired Nick Pezzillo as Creative Editor. The announcement was made today by Samantha Hart, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Foundation Content.
Said Hart, “Nick is one of the best Creative Editors around, with an enormous range of experience on a diversity of projects. While specializing in short form media such as commercials, promos, and music videos, he’s even cut a few feature films. His expertise in Creative Editorial makes Nick a stellar addition to the Foundation team.”
“I joined Foundation because I enjoy their approach as a creative ‘collective,'” said Pezzillo. “Each person there can be part of an overall group building up the work. Foundation Content feels like a solid home for me, the people there are especially talented, and it serves as a great base from which to create good work because they share my philosophy about the work.”
“I’m an editor. It doesn’t matter how big or small the project — there is an idea that needs to be conveyed and it’s my job to make it happen. I’m not a one trick pony when it comes to style. And I don’t care if there are 100 cuts or no cuts, as long as it tells the story the best way it can, and the audience gets it. I love what I do, and I fall in love with every project I work on,” Pezzillo adds.
About Nick Pezzillo
Prior to joining Foundation Content, Nick Pezzillo worked steadily as a freelance Creative Editor. Last year, he had the distinction of having two videos
included within VH1’s list of the “Top 20.” The video he edited for the rock band Portugal. The Man, entitled “All Your Light,” was voted one of the Top Ten music videos of 2012 on Vimeo.
Pezzillo’s stellar editorial work on Microsoft’s announcement of “Surface” was considered ground breaking creative — the brand garnered six million hits on YouTube in the first week. He has also cultivated close relationships with numerous up and coming and successful directors, with whom he will continue collaborating from his base at Foundation.

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
