With clients ranging from Walmart to MySpace to Captain Morgan’s Rum, Foundation Content, an Indie Film/Advertising and Production Collective specializing in cross-platform marketing, is significantly expanding its Culver City, CA, operations, and, concurrently, has consolidated its Chicago office. The announcement was made today by Samantha Hart, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Foundation Content.
Foundation Content’s Culver City office is expanding its editorial service offerings, and is adding graphics, color, and finishing to the mix, all in efforts to better reflect the company’s rapidly increasing base of West Coast clients. Foundation will also continue to work closely with its existing Chicago-based clientele on a diverse array of projects, but effective immediately, will do so via its California-based production, creative, and executive teams. A scaled back staff remains in Foundation’s Chicago offices, and is presently wrapping up existing work there.
“As our business model continues to evolve, so must we,” Hart said. “We are learning to adapt to where our energies are best spent, and we’ve determined that our Culver City headquarters requires most of our creative resources. We have decided to focus our attention, during 2013, to our West Coast front. A small team will remain in place in Chicago during this time of expansion and transition.”
Foundation Co-Founder James L. Lipetzky adds, “When we originally launched our company in Chicago nine years ago, we were a traditional post house. However, since that time, we have evolved. Today, we stand as a multi-faceted, full-service creative boutique with a diverse array of clients. We will be forever grateful to the Chicago community for having embraced us all these years, and we look forward to continuing relationships with our loyal clients based there. At the same time, we are very excited about the expansion of our company, and will continue playing to our creative strengths, consolidating them under the auspices of our Culver City headquarters.”

“ฦvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of ฦvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? ฦvolutionย suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence,ย ฦvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating โin the blink of an eyeโ the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called โprogressโ may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
