The Department of Visual and Media Arts at Emerson College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in digital and film production with a specialization in cinematography. The appointment commences in the academic year beginning September 1, 2016.

A terminal degree, a resume of substantial cinematography work, and teaching experience at the college/university level are required for consideration.  Responsibilities will include teaching cinematography classes to students with varying degrees of technical experience, as well as production courses at all levels within the department's BA, BFA and MFA programs. Demonstration of accomplishment in teaching, effectiveness in critiquing student work, providing strong project mentoring and thoughtfully engaging diversity in the classroom are necessary, and materials indicating these are sought. The successful candidate must provide examples of cinematography work that shows the promise of national recognition.
