Local Hero Post (www.localheropost.com) announced today that Mike Eaves has joined the staff as senior colorist. With more than 60 studio titles under his belt, Mike’s credit list includes The Bourne Supremacy, The Day After Tomorrow, Hellboy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Master and Commander, The Painted Veil and World Trade Center.
Mike was attracted to Local Hero because of the company’s understanding of digitally acquired images and file-based workflows.
“At Local Hero I’m able to participate in the DI, both before and after coloring, more than ever in my career,” Eaves said. “I’m also happy that Local Hero is an ASSIMILATE SCRATCH facility. I’ve worked on many of the so-called ‘mainstream color systems’ and I have to say, I really like the versatility of SCRATCH. I love the flexibility to color correct and perform some minor VFX on the fly in the one system. The knowledge and experience I am gaining is very important to me and I am really thrilled to be here.”
During his time at EFILM, Eaves handled some of the most complex DI’s in history. He brings a wealth of industry-leading, technical color knowledge and artistry to Local Hero. Through the course of his career, Eaves has worked alongside some of the most prominent creatives in the industry today, inlcuding Paul Greengrass, Roland Emmerich, John Singleton, David Cronenberg, Guillermo Navarro, Don Burgess and Stuart Dryburgh.
