Eden FX, currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary Year, has expanded into a new studio space in Santa Monica, and has also announced its Fall 2010 slate of feature film and TV projects. John Gross, president, Eden FX, made the announcements.
Eden FX has just joined forces with sister post production company Point .360 West. Effective immediately, Eden FX, in addition to the creation of award winning visual effects, will now also be able to offer HD dailies, color correction, online mastering, offline editorial, audio mixing, VO recording and duplication services to its diverse range of clients. The company’s new space is located at 12421 West Olympic Blvd, Santa Monica, CA, 90064. The new phone is 310/481-7002.
On the feature film side, Eden FX recently completed VFX work for “The Social Network.” The movie was released by Columbia Pictures on October 1st and was directed by David Fincher.
In related company news: Eden FX was honored to have worked on the Emmyยฎ Award winning HBO telefilm “Temple Grandin,” working directly with that film’s director Mick Jackson and that film’s production team. Eden FX provided on set visual effects supervision, and created visual effects such as green screen composites, crowd and cattle replication, CG graphics, and other highly imaginative digital images, as “seen through the mind’s eye” of the lead character, Temple Grandin (played by Claire Danes).
In the area of newly launched TV series, Eden FX, under Mr. Gross, has created the opening title sequence for the CBS sitcom “$#*! My Dad Says,” as well as FX shots to be featured within the show itself. Mr. Gross is also the Visual Effects Supervisor for the new MTV series “Teen Wolf,” and is providing CG werewolves, compositing and digital set extensions for that show. For the new NBC action/spy series from J.J. Abrams entitled “Undercovers,” Gross and Eden FX are providing matte paintings and compositing.
Gross and Eden FX continue their CG work on behalf of the on-going hit TV series “Fringe,” “NCIS,” “Chuck,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Army Wives” and “Community.”
