Verizon's "Potential of Us" social media campaign challenges communities to reach their full potential, with the help of Verizon products and services. Ruben Latre of Hostage Films was tapped to direct and photograph the commercial and print assets for the campaign, which features Keke Palmer and Morris Chestnut engaging communities with challenges that connect people and inspire change. In addition to appearing in the campaign, Keke Palmer will be included in live events bringing technology to communities. In Palmer’s interview, she speaks to her personal journey to stardom and how important her network of supporters has been to her success. Morris Chestnut's challenge involves making communities healthier by encouraging physical activity and can be seen sporting a Fitbit. The spots were filmed on location in Los Angeles.

Known for his visual style, Ruben Latre has also directed work for Travelers Insurance, Samsung, Chumak Juice, Sacyr and Pfizer and collaborated with agencies including Y&R, McCann, Ogilvy and Leo Burnett. He won Best New Director at APCP for a spot paying tribute to Ridley Scott’s Alien. He was shortlisted at AICP for Best Cinematography on a commercial he Directed and DPed for TMG Health. He has served as a judge for Sony's PROduction Awards and been featured in Shoot's New Director's Series.

The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) IATSE Local 706 will debut the highly anticipated new award category, Broadway International, to their awards ceremony on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel, presented by Giovanni Eco Chic Beauty. The new category will expand the recognition of outstanding Make-Up and Hair Styling Artists to encompass all live theater productions, including Broadway International live productions.
With the addition of Broadway International, the ceremony will now shine a spotlight on beloved theatrical productions from around the world, recognizing the hard work and creativity of Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists in this genre. The MUAHS Guild Awards also honor Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists in motion pictures, television, commercials, and music videos in 23 categories.

The MUAHS Guild Awards are now all-inclusive and participation is worldwide for film, television, and theater.
