charlieuniformtango Principal/President Lola Lott announced Director Jason Burks has joined the Liberal Media Films (LMF) roster. He has been working as a freelance Director/DP with the LMF team for about eight years.

"Collaborating with others that share my love for art and storytelling through filmmaking is my soul passion. I am ecstatic to be on the LMF roster and extend my talents to new organizations, brands, and faces. Lola has constructed such a phenomenal team and I believe I will fit in nicely,” Burks said.

Burks has shot over 900 TV commercials, both regional and national, dozens of music videos, short films, feature films, documentaries, and product videos. His projects have taken him to all 50 states in the U.S. and 6 different continents. 

His talents as a writer have contributed tremendously to his success as a director over the last decade working with hundreds of agencies and organizations. Jason’s passion has been and always will be filmmaking, but when not behind the camera he can be found rock climbing, snowboarding, or mountaineering around the globe.

At 31, he has worked with a remarkably broad range of cameras and is one of the few Director/DP’s to own and specialize in Phantom Camera slow motion shooting. 

His work with the Phantom Camera in the last year was recently shown by Able Cine and Vision Research at the 2015 NAB in Las Vegas to showcase the capabilities of the camera. 

Burks is currently directing a documentary for Netflix that is filming in Colorado, California, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. He recently directed several national spots for The United Methodist Church in Nashville with LMF.

“Jason’s focus on making things look beautiful and interesting through lighting, and his ability to tell stories through film that move people make him a great addition to our LMF roster. Jason’s creative drive and energy are like no other, you couldn’t ask for a more positive, willing, energized and creative collaborator on your team,” Lott said.
