Lost Highway Films has signed Amy Demas to their roster of talented directors. Executive Producer Marc Rosenberg says he “was impressed by Amy’s smart and incisive creative approach. Amy’s work combines a sense of fun with her clever and intuitive advertising skills. She’s a great collaborator and undoubtedly loves what she does.”
After earning her BFA at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Amy began her career as an Art Director at the rebellious and groundbreaking Sassy magazine. She then went on to help launch Jane magazine, followed by a complete creative reboot of the iconic teen title YM, where she won numerous awards for her work and leadership.
Amy’s many accolades as a Creative Director brought her to Peterson, Milla, Hooks, where she created integrated TV and print campaigns for Target, including many of their designer collections, such as Proenza Schouler, Fiorucci, Isaac Mizrahi and Behnaz Saraphour. Rosenberg added that “Amy’s creative legacy was founded in cool magazine design that continues to grow and expand through vivid, live action directing.”
Amy’s love of fashion, beauty, retail and brand marketing led her to directing. While leading the creative for clients such as Stila Cosmetics, DC Shoes and CVS/pharmacy, Amy subsequently began directing spots and content for these clients. Her earlier life as a Creative Director is something that Lost Highway is excited about. “Amy’s rich agency background in both print and TV clearly set the table for a bounty of fresh and imaginative work.” Marc explains.
