Two kids cross a town at night waiting for the right moment to kiss. This is the simple idea behind a spec spot that Dir. Adriano Falconi directed and produced using only the available light and a still camera. To view Levi’s “Kiss Me” click here.
Adriano Falconi comments: “In between real work I always find time to do my own film pieces. When I have a spec in mind, some time I just have in front of me the general world I want to recreate then I found the concept that can nail that world all together. It’s like working in reverse. In this case I wanted to do something very simple that could just show the mellow tone of teens, the idea of making it into a Levi’s spot came only after. I was going for a bright colors urban night using only the available lights, so when I explained to Pergrin Jung what I was going for he came back to me holding a still camera that beside capturing stills has the option of capturing 22 mega pixels video. Pergrin and me were the only on set along with a frizzed cast and the shoot toke a total of 6 ours. I want to say thanks to Sandy Beladino, from Vendetta Post, who besides cooking great Italian food for her staff, always find time to helping me out finalizing my work, and Shauna Prescott who took care of the on line editing. Another thanks goes to colorist John Zaick from Company 3”.
