BMW – Exclusive Automotive Sponsor
BMW will return as the Exclusive Automotive Sponsor of the 67th Annual DGA Awards.
“We’re pleased to welcome BMW back for the second year as the Exclusive Automotive Sponsor of the DGA Awards,” said Barclay. “Last year’s partnership with BMW helped us create an elegant evening celebrating the best directing of the year. We look forward to working together with the creators of the ‘Ultimate Driving Machine’ to maintain our role as the ultimate in awards for directorial achievement.”
Category Eligibility
The rules governing DGA Awards category submissions have been modified to provide additional clarity and consistency regarding category submissions for scripted television.
Directors who wish to submit an episode of scripted television for DGA Awards consideration will only be allowed to submit in the same category for which they were hired to direct. For instance, if a program is classified as a mini-series under its DGA agreement, the director must submit his or her episode for consideration in the Movies for Television and Mini-Series category. Similarly, if a director is hired to direct an episode of a dramatic series, he or she must submit the episode for consideration in the Dramatic Series category.
The revised submission rules will be implemented for the upcoming 67th Annual DGA Awards.
