Cutters Studios Managing Director and Partner Craig Duncan today announced the promotion of Heather Richardson to Executive Producer, and the promotion of Patrick Casey to Head of Production. Both Cutters Chicago leadership appointments are effective immediately.
According to Duncan, Richardson's oversight will expand into managing and recruiting talent, and in maintaining and building the company's client base… while Casey will focus on optimizing workflows, project management and bidding processes. "I am thrilled that both Heather and Patrick have agreed to take on these new roles," he said. "They are two of the best producers I have worked with in my career, and I am looking forward to watching the company grow through their leadership."
Richardson joined Cutters in 2015, after gaining invaluable experience and industry contacts as a producer for visual effects studio A52 in LA – and for editorial company Cosmo Street in both LA and New York for more than ten years. On behalf of Cutters, she has produced Super Bowl spots for LIFEWTR, Nintendo and WeatherTech, and high-profile campaigns for scores of brands, including Capital One, FCA North America (Fiat, Dodge Ram, and Jeep), Gatorade, Google, McDonald's and Modelo, to name but a few.
"I've been fortunate to have worked with some excellent executive producers during my career, and I'm honored and excited for the opportunity to expand the scope of my role on behalf of Cutters Studios, and alongside Patrick Casey," said Richardson. "Patrick's kindness and thoughtfulness in addition to his intelligence and experience are priceless. Together, we are committed to continually finding more effective and efficient ways to help our partners solve the challenges they face."
In recent history, alongside leading Cutters editors, Casey produced the groundbreaking Always #LikeAGirl campaign, Budweiser's "Harry Caray's Last Call" viral sensation crowned 2016's Ad of the Year by YouTube and The Webby Awards, and Whirlpool's phenomenal "Care Counts" campaign that won top Cannes Lions, Clio, Effie and Adweek Project Isaac Awards, among many others.
"Our editors and assistant editors are the most creative people I have ever worked with," Casey added. "It has been amazing working with Heather over the past several years, and I'm confident that these promotions will make Cutters even stronger."
