Curious Pictures continues its strategic growth by expanding its commercial sales presence. The bi-coastal creative studio has announced the addition of in-house rep Diana Mandelare. She will focus on East Coast sales and national marketing and publicity initiatives.
Mandelare was previously with NY-based design and animation studio Valins&Co. where she was Director of Strategy and New Business for over two years. She has also worked on the independent side of sales representing visual effects companies, live action directors, and music and sound design. She said of her move to Curious, “I’ve long admired the consistent quality of work Curious Pictures has produced over the years and appreciate their ability to adapt flexibly and creatively to the evolution of our industry. It’s a company that prides itself on being a creative playground for an eclectic group of artists yet continues to build upon a name that is synonymous with storytelling and award-winning work.”
Curious Pictures‘ COO/Head of Studio Camille Geier said, “We’re thrilled to have Diana on board. I had the opportunity to work with her previously and she is smart, passionate and results oriented. When it came time to hire an in-house rep she was my first call.”
This move comes just months after leading CG/Animation talent Vadim Turchin, formerly Head of CG at Brand New School, joined Curious. He oversees the company’s CG and Animation areas and has been growing the technical and overall visual storytelling capabilities. When asked to describe what lead him to Curious Pictures, he emphasized “the diversity of creative talent here is so rich, as is the work they have created historically.” Turchin has created work for top brands such as HP, Cadbury, Fidelity, and many more.
Mandelare will be based out of the New York office of Curious Pictures and will work in conjunction with independent reps Mary Eiff and Michelle Stuart of Hello Tomorrow.
