Matt Miller, President and CEO of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP), and T.K. Knowles, Chairman of the 2010 AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, and Executive Producer/Managing Director of Bob Industries, announced today the composition of the Curatorial Committee for the 2010 AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial.
“The AICP is the signature archive for advertising in the motion image,” said Miller. “For 19 years, the Show has been archived by the Department of Film at MoMA, becoming a part of the historical and artistic record of advertising and culture. The Curatorial Committee ensures that the continuity and high standards of the Show are maintained.”
Under the direction of Knowles and Miller, The Curatorial Committee is comprised of a cross-section of industry leaders, working in all disciplines which contribute to marketing in the motion image. The Curatorial Committee is part of a bifurcated judging system, which begins with a series of judging panels held across the country, with experts in various fields judging work in the 22 categories in the Show. The Curatorial Committee is the final arbiter in the disposition of the Show, confirming eligibility and appropriateness to category.

Now in its entry period, The AICP Show debuts on June 8th at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City. The Show recognizes the achievements in the artistry of commercial filmmaking. All moving image advertising and marketing messages are eligible for entry, regardless of the media in which they appear.
