CrumplePop announced the availability of CrumplePop Reflector, a set of high quality reflection effects that can be dropped directly onto the Final Cut Pro timeline. CrumplePop Reflector lets you easily apply reflections to any clip or image – the same effect made popular by Apple’s iPhone and iPod ads – by simply dragging and dropping. Reflections can be applied to full-motion video or still photos, against any background color or video layer.
“Reflection effects are extremely versatile, and you see them used all over the place right now,” said Jedediah Smentek, lead designer at CrumplePop. “We wanted to give Final Cut editors a way to apply reflections quickly and easily, without a trip to Motion or another compositing package. In fact, you don’t have to leave Final Cut at all. CrumplePop Reflector lets you drop reflections onto clips directly in the timeline, which is a huge time-saver.”
CrumplePop Reflector includes 26 different reflection effects, so you can choose the amount of reflection (small, medium, large, or full), angle of reflection (left, right, center), fly-over (slow and fast speeds), and side scroll (a parade of reflections, scrolling left to right at two different speeds).
“Our clients often need a clean, elegant way to display products or screenshots, and CrumplePop Reflector is extremely good at this,” said Smentek. “You can create full-motion parades, flyovers, and product displays very easily, just by dragging and dropping clips within Final Cut. And the result looks very slick, from 1920×1080 down to SD resolution.”
CrumplePop Reflector supports 32 different video codecs, resolutions, and framerates including XDCAMEX, XDCAMHD, DVCProHD, HDV, DV, PAL, 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480i, 24fps, 30fps, 25fps, 50fps, and 60fps.
