New York based post-production house, Crew Cuts, has been granted Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) – the leading authority on women’s business enterprises as suppliers and vendors to the country’s top corporations. With its WBE certification, Crew Cuts can provide its full range of editorial, graphics, audio and finishing services to advertising agencies and brands looking to engage in minority-certified partnerships; something industry policy continues to dictate a growing requirement for.
“Large corporations are under increased pressure to work with minority-owned partners and vendors,” says Sherri Margulies, Partner/Co-Owner at Crew Cuts. “By gaining our certification, we have also gained a value-added for our clients, and for their clients. Crew Cuts can provide top-level talent and services, with the added benefit of meeting minority policy demands.”
“This was certainly an intricate process,” adds Nancy Shames, partner/Co-Owner at Crew Cuts. “But ultimately it’s all about helping our industry; being able to offer the full range of postproduction services, under one roof, as a minority-certified business.”
WBE certification is granted to those companies who are at least 51% women-owned, and demonstrate business practices that help to level the playing field, drive success, and offer opportunity in typically male-dominated industries.
