Award-winning cartoonist Peter Kuper has been chronicling life in New York City for over 30 years. His new book, “Drawn to New York,” captures it all, and makes its U.S. debut exclusively as an E-Book, published by legendary creative agency Bemis Balkind.

In “Drawn to New York,” Kuper depicts: A climb to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge; homelessness in Times Square; roller skaters in Central Park; the impact of 9/11; Wall Street; street musicians and an array of moments unique to the ‘Big Apple.’ In 200 full color pages, Kuper paints a vibrant picture of Manhattan. Through comics, illustrations and sketchbook drawings he delivers everything from the low life to the high energy that has long made New York the most exciting city in the world.

“Drawn to New York” author Peter Kuper is also the author/illustrator of over twenty other books, including “Diario de Oaxaca,” and an adaptation of Franz Kafka’s “The Metamorphosis.” His illustrations have appeared in most major newspapers and magazines, including “Mad,” where.he has done the “Spy vs Spy” cartoon series since 1997. Kuper is co-founder of the political graphics magazine “World War 3 Illustrated,” and teaches comics courses at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and at Harvard University in Boston.
