Directing together for more than 9 years, Jyson Mclean and Chris Mozdzen have lasted longer than some marriages. Their intimate chemistry helps to hone an acute sense of comedic timing. "Two heads are better than one, which attributes to the duo‘s impeccable execution of dialogue-driven storytelling," says executive producer Natalie Sakai. Collectively, they’ve worked on campaigns for MTV, DDB, BBDO. and most recently Fred and Farid Paris.
Mclean and Mozdzen also each have individual ventures which keep them creatively sharp. Chris Mozdzen’s short, Scent of Slade, is currently traveling the festival circuit, and Jyson Mclean is the recent recipient of the San Francisco Film Society/Kenneth Rainin Foundation award for his original screenplay, Mercy Road, which he plans to direct in 2013. The duo joins directors Jeff Jenkins and Andrew Laurich to round out the ContagiousLA roster. Three directors are from southeast Michigan… coincidentally.
