Modern VideoFilm is currently providing all final video post production services for the hit CBS series Madam Secretary. Senior Colorist Todd Bochner (Sleepy Hollow) is performing final color grading for the show out of Modern’s boutique Santa Monica facility. Previously, the color was done by a New York-based facility with Modern handling the conform and final deliverables.
Bochner is using DaVinci Resolve Version 11 on Linux for grading. His approach for Madam is to create a “full rich image all the while maintaining a cinematic tone.”
“Todd has an innate ability to read the film and tell exactly what the DP was trying to accomplish,” says Tony Palermo, the show’s Co-Producer. “His ability, work ethic and great attitude make him my go-to colorist.”
Madam Secretary was recently picked up for a full season by CBS. Modern VideoFilm has been handling the full video finishing work for the show since its fourth episode.
