    The Colony Welcomes Director Hughes William Thompson

    NEW YORK -- (SPW) --

    The Colony has signed Hughes William Thompson to its roster of directors available for commercial content creation.

    Thompson was awarded the 2014 Young Director Award at Cannes for his short film “A New Man.” The film was made possible with a grant from the Kevin Spacey Foundation. The foundation became one of his first clients when it subsequently commissioned Thompson to direct content for them.   

    Thompson’s beautifully crafted films display a storytelling vision based in narrative and performance.

    “I’m very happy to be joining The Colony,” says Thompson. “It feels like a really great place to be able to use your voice and it’s great to also have all this infrastructure already plugged in, including an on-site post studio. It’s like a playground in which to create, and that’s hard to find.”
