Codex Digital and Band Pro Film & Digital will host a week-long series of demonstrations of a file-based workflow encompassing every aspect of production from capture through delivery beginning November 29 at Band Pro’s facility in New York City. The first-of-its-kind demonstration will include the entire Codex Digital product line, including its leading edge recording, transfer and digital lab systems. Among the products demonstrated will be Codex Digital‘s Desktop Transfer Station, introduced earlier this year at IBC.
The purpose of the demonstration is to show producers, cinematographers, DIT specialists, editors, post production facility owners and others, how a complete file-based workflow can be implemented with maximum security and reliability. It will also show how the use of this new technology can lead to considerable time and cost savings over other modes of production. The demonstrations will be hosted by Band Pro Market Development Manager Jim Hegadorn and Technical Consultant Randy Wedick, and Codex Digital Vice President for Market Development Sarah Priestnall and Product Specialist James Eggleton.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who is considering a file-based production solution to see a complete workflow in action,” said Band Pro Marketing and Events Coordinator Seth Emmons. “They can see how the technology works at each stage of production and post, and talk with experts who can demystify the process and answer all their questions and concerns.”
