At NAB 2011, <a href="www.codexdigital.com.>Codex Digital and <a href="www.5thkind.com.>5th Kind will demonstrate a new workflow for capturing, processing and managing digital assets from the camera to the screen. The demonstration will link <a href="www.codexdigital.com.>Codex Digital‘s Transfer Station, an on-set solution for dailies processing and deliverables production, with <a href="www.5thkind.com.>5th Kind‘s web-based production asset management system. The demonstration will be conducted at the <a href="www.codexdigital.com.>Codex Digital Booth, C8615.
The Codex-<a href="www.5thkind.com.>5th Kind workflow can be used to manage the production, distribution and archiving of dailies and other production assets. Camera assets and metadata are processed by Codex’ Transfer Station and then ingested by <a href="www.5thkind.com.>5th Kind‘s production asset management system, which in turn can be used to deliver them to editorial or color grading systems, or distribute them for review via SFTP, set top box or desktop applications.
The demonstration will include such features as real-time remote collaboration, full-screen dailies review, automated asset distribution with on-the-fly watermarking, cataloging and archiving of media assets, and the sharing of camera reports and other metadata throughout the production chain.
Among the many unique features of <a href="www.5thkind.com.>5th Kind‘s asset management system is one that allows users to record audio comments, attach them to specific frames and make them accessible to other members of the production team.
