Cliff Freeman & Partners, an award-winning full service advertising agency, today announced that Nation’s Restaurant News has awarded the agency two Restaurant Advertising Awards, formerly known as the awards for Excellence in Advertising on Television and Radio. The agency received the awards for work done on behalf of Bonefish Grill, an upscale casual dining experience specializing in market fresh fish cooked to perfection over a wood-burning grill.
Cliff Freeman & Partners (CF&P) won awards in two television categories for restaurants with total system-wide sales in the $100 – $500 Million range:
— Single Commercial – Bonefish Grill (Mayday)
— Campaign – Bonefish Grill (Nicknames, Recipes, End of the Earth)
To chronicle the journeys of Bonefish Grill and the extent to which the restaurant goes to provide the freshest fish, CF&P followed the restaurant’s fish buyers to the farthest reaches of the globe and created a fully integrated campaign with the footage from these travels.

The 2008 Restaurant Advertising Awards are the only honors specifically recognizing advertising excellence in the restaurant industry. Award categories are ranked by total system-wide sales, so entries are judged against restaurant operations of a similar size. A panel of leading advertising, production, media and creative executives judge all campaigns and commercials. The winners are selected on the basis of creativity, originality and effective use of the advertising medium.
