The crew from Cirkus landed in Cannes at The International Advertising Festival on Saturday this week and quickly set up their “Kamikaze” seminar where the audience visiting get to dictate the story line and other elements and liaise between Cirkus‘ New York and New Zealand studios while creating a complete episode of the on-running animated series “Exquisite Corpse.”
Named “Kamikaze” ‘cos you have to be pretty mad to try and do all of this in just six days, visitors to the Cirkus booth are taking things pretty seriously, with many checking back during each day on progress.
Cirkus‘ Ring Master – Marko Klijn quotes from the show floor:
“Cannes is buzzing, far more delegates than last year. Now the shortlists are being displayed near our stand the traffic is very constant. The attendees from the workshop have been dropping by to see the progress of the exquisite corpse so we have been showing off our 2d animatic.”
“The workshop was well attended and the delegates came up with a great story-line. Team are working hard to get everything done – we will deliver!”
“More people will be registering tomorrow so let’s hope for another influx of delegates to our stand”
“Tonite the liontamestress and hoopdiver will gatecrash the Dutch creative party”
