Chomet Creative Group, Inc., an award winning provider of creative and technical services to the corporate, broadcasting/cable, music video and commercial industries, has teamed with Spark, a national leader in branded video strategy, production and distribution, and division of content marketing powerhouse McMurry.
“With this new relationship we are able to combine broadcast TV sensibilities and corporate brand storytelling expertise to create entertaining video content for all environments. Since teaming with Spark we have been able to offer a broader range of scalable production and distribution capabilities giving us the ability to take on even larger projects,” explained Chomet, an EMMY Award winner and four-time EMMY nominee.
The goodwill and credibility generated by both companies over many prior years of collaboration has immediately translated into genuine excitement among former and potential new clients, and resulted in a number of Chomet/Spark projects including a video for Tang that appeared on Kraft Foods website homepage (and earned a Silver Telly Award), a 100th year celebration promo for Oreo, videos for Vera Wang’s new weddings app, and a long format film for the Manhattan Theater Club which is currently in production.
Kevin Goddess, President and Creative Director of Spark stated, “We are delighted that Chomet is now a division of Spark and that our two companies, with our complimentary skill sets, will be working in tandem to create original content. Combining Chomet’s strong broadcast background with Spark‘s strengths in graphics, experiential environments, strategy, production and distribution will benefit all our clients.”
David Goddess, Spark Creative Director and Partner added, “Michael is obviously a terrific editor, but his greatest strength is as a great storyteller, and it’s that skill that will allow him to express himself in new ways, flex his creative muscles, and take a leading role in this new endeavor.”
Chomet’s team brings to this new relationship extensive experience in the creation of corporate video, broadcast television, and film, and has earned his company numerous awards for its impactful and targeted videos for a multitude of highly visible clients. “Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
