Portland, OR-based physical therapist and shoe inventor Cheryl Sherwood Kosta neutralizes gravity in a new 1:20 web film, “Anti-Gravity,” for Easy Spirit Shoes, NY, produced direct-to-client. Part of an integrated campaign that includes 3 webisodes, print and in-store ads, Kosta was recruited by Easy Spirit to promote the company’s new Anti-Gravity footwear line. The webisodes feature Kosta’s clinical analysis of the shock-absorbing women’s sneaker, as well as general stretching and footwear selection tips.

Kosta brings over 20 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist and shoe inventor to Easy Spirit. She has lectured nationally on bio and patho-mechanics and gait, and has authored multiple publications.
Easy Spirit’s ultra-lightweight Anti-Gravity sneakers, dress shoes and sandals boast shock-absorbing soles filled with millions of nitrogen micro bubbles. The technology provides energy return in the legs and buttocks, and protects joints.
Kosta’s own shoe invention—developed independently—provides wearers total body and joint protection. It’s a shoe that can alleviate many cases of knee and back pain, and has been shown to improve speed and agility. About Cheryl Sherwood Kosta
Cheryl Sherwood Kosta is a 4th generation Oregonian cowgirl who graduated from the University of Colorado in Physical Therapy. Besides working with war-torn veterans, her career highlights include Sr. Rehabilitation Therapist, UCSD, Research Consultant to Jonas Salk and the Salk Institute, La Jolla, CA, Primary PT to Picabo Street during her Olympic career, fifteen years of national lecturing on bio and patho-mechanics of the lower extremity with emphasis on alignment, and authoring multiple publications.
In 1987, Kosta founded North Lake Physical Therapy, Portland/Lake Oswego/Canby, Oregon. With an emphasis on biomechanics, she works with both orthopedic and neurological populations, and is a leading foot and gait expert.
