“Signs of Humanity” is a documentary film that explores the interrelated themes of home, homelessness, compassion and humanity. Artist and professor Willie Baronet has purchased more than 1,000 handmade homeless signs over the past 22 years. He uses his collection to create installations in galleries and public spaces to raise awareness about homelessness. During the month of July 2014, Willie Baronet and fellow Director Tim Chumley, along with two other crew members, drove across the country connecting with more than 100 people on the streets and purchasing more than 275 signs. “Signs of Humanity” documents that trip.
