Chace Audio by Deluxe, part of the Deluxe Digital Media subsidiary of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, has launched an innovative upmixing service featuring Cielo FTV, a breakthrough digital signal processing technology provided by Akita Blue.
Chace Audio by Deluxe, a full service audio post production facility renowned for sound preservation, restoration, as well as 5.1 and 7.1 mixing is excited to expand its offerings with this new service.
The service will provide Deluxe customers with a quick and cost effective method of converting classic soundtracks into 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound from both standard stereo and matrix-encoded content. Cielo FTV cloud-based processing provides highly discrete upmix stem elements. In turn, the mixing expertise of Chace Audio by Deluxe transforms these elements into stunningly accurate 5.1 and 7.1 soundtracks.
Cielo FTV’s dual Vector Engine technology is specifically designed to decode matrix-encoded movie soundtracks using a mathematically based frequency domain process. Akita Blue‘s patented Vector Engine technology is the result of seven years of development and careful testing and is a fundamentally new way of processing audio.
Bob Heiber, VP Audio for Deluxe Digital Media said “We listened to how Cielo FTV sounded compared to other solutions on music and all eras of film sound and Cielo FTV was far superior and natural sounding. Other solutions we evaluated didn’t even come close. We are especially excited to work with Akita Blue because we know the team’s track record and the process is patented. This is the same team that worked on Chace Digital Stereo® (CDS), which has been used on over one thousand classic movie titles.
“I can’t imagine a better partner than Chace Audio by Deluxe to launch a service based on our breakthrough technology,” said Dave Russell, CEO of Akita Blue, “Cielo FTV provides high quality discrete track elements which Chace Audio by Deluxe hones into a highly polished final product. With the quality offered at Chace Audio by Deluxe, and the resulting immersive user experience, I expect we’ll see entire catalogs finally being remastered to 5.1 and 7.1.”
