The spot “Friends Are Waiting” promotes a strong message to drink responsibly. Using the relationship between a Labrador and his owner, it spreads the word using the hashtag, #FriendsAreWaiting. The video, created by Momentum Worldwide, The Big Tree, and TPSC, has already amassed more than 23 million views on YouTube. The poignant storytelling and warm directorial tones show TPSC director, Gus Black’s strengths and range. “The great thing about Gus is that there were a lot of scenes to build with necessary investment; we had to convey strong emotions through the actor’s and dog’s performances. He was able to draw it out them with ease, making a perfect union,” says Momentum SVP Group Creative Director David Bannecke. “The vibe on set was incredible and creative. I feel like we took a great written idea and visually maximized its potential. I'm humbled by the response to the ad and extremely grateful to be part of such a great project", says director Gus Black.” View spot here.
Sam Crawford – “Domtar – Project Learning Curve”
โบ Silver Cannes Lions – Mobile Category
โบ The One Show – Merit Award for Product and Mobile Integration
Project Learning Curve is part of Domtar's PAPERbecause campaign. This specific film was created to increase focus on handwriting and the research that shows how much it benefits students. The brilliant idea, that could enhance the lives of students and teachers alike, was the collaborative effort of director Sam Crawford and the creatives at Eric Mower +Associates. “It makes me so proud to see ‘Project Learning Curve’ getting the attention it deserves. It's rare, as a director known for comedy, that I get to work on a project that has so much meaning,” says director Sam Crawford. “This project changed my views. I was the first person to discount the value of handwriting. I hate to write things by hand and always choose to type. I was and am the target audience. I now think very differently.” View the spot here.
