ARCTIC producer to appear alongside film's star, Mads Mikkelsen
Noah C Haeussner of Union Entertainment Group will appear on a May 13 Cannes Film Panel for ARCTIC, the feature film directed by Joe Penna and starring Mads Mikkelsen (DR. STRANGE, STAR WARS, THE HUNT). Haeussner is a producer on the film, which is part of the Midnight Screening section at this year’s Festival de Cannes. Joining Haeussner will be Christopher Lemole, Mikkelsen, Ryan Morrison, Penna and Tim Zajaros. UEG has a second film screening at this year’s fest: HOME SHOPPER, a short directed by Oscar Nominee Dev Patel and starring Sophie Kargman, Thomas Sadoski (THE NEWSROOM) and Armie Hammer (CALL ME BY YOUR NAME) – which was nominated for the Grand Jury Audience Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival – and is included in the Cannes Festival Corner. On May 10, Haeussner participated in another panel, titled Industry in Focus: The Power of Genre Films. He was joined there by Matt Landers, Maria Pulera, and Heidi Zwicker.
This week, ARCTIC was singled out by the Los Angeles Times as one of eight films to see at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. ARCTIC was produced by Haeussner, along with Chris Lemole and Tim Zajaros of Armory Films (MUDBOUND), and was executive produced by Martha De Laurentiis (NBC’s HANNIBAL) and Union partner/editor Einar Thorsteinsson. The story surrounds a man (Mikkelsen) stranded in the Arctic, who is finally about to receive his long awaited rescue. However, after a tragic accident, his opportunity is lost and he must then decide whether to remain in the relative safety of his camp or embark on a deadly trek through the unknown for potential salvation.
Other films produced or co-produced by Union Entertainment Group include Janis: Little Girl Blue, Blue Mountain State: The Movie and Hateship/Loveship, starring Kristen Wiig.
The Festival de Cannes runs May 8-18, 2018. Additional information can be found here.
