New York and Paris-based production company Cadence Films makes its official foray into West Coast sales and representation with Lisa Houck, Founder and Head of Sales of Salon Reps in Los Angeles. The alliance comes at a perfect time, as Cadence’s formidable roster continues to link up with West Coast-based agencies and brands in the creation of iconic, memorable, and powerful visual stories.

Founded by Neil Cooper in 2011, Cadence is home to a tremendously talented array of multi-hyphenate artists whose visionary work has made them a go-to production destination. Cadence productions range from cult classic features, to music projects for artists such as Beyoncé, David Bowie, and Kanye West, to international campaigns for brands including Dior, HTC, Nike, Volkswagen and adidas.

“Both Neil and I are proud to be among such fine company on the Salon roster,” says Cadence Executive Producer Lorenzo Ragionieri. “We genuinely admire the other companies that Lisa works with, and feel they complement Cadence creatively.”

Lisa Houck's experience across the gamut of production and post production has given her a deft comprehension of today’s ever-changing media landscape. She’s held top-level positions at shops like Spotwelders and Bikini Edit, and was the former EP of Method Studios before opening Salon in 2010. Whether championing established artists or nurturing rising stars, Lisa brings a deep commitment and passion for the talent she represents, leading to smart collaborations that set the highest creative standards.

“First and foremost, I love the artistic viewpoints of the Cadence directors, as well as Lorenzo and Neil’s vision,” comments Lisa. “I’m thrilled that they support a diverse roster, including several female creators, as well as talent that works across a range of mediums spanning film, advertising, photography, mixed-media and experiential content.”

The new West Coast representation comes at a busy time for Cadence. The company recently signed Damien Krisl, a destination director for such prestigious brands as Alfa Romeo, Lexus, BMW and Lancôme, among many others. Director Dimitri Basil continued his “one to watch” trajectory with his epically surreal music video for Kings of Leon’s “Waste A Moment,” meanwhile Barnaby Roper unleashed a pulse-pounding spectacle of VFX, live action and sound with his just-launched Nike ACG film.

“The work that has recently emerged from Cadence answers the need for high-level creative that advertisers are looking for at this time,” says Lisa. “Right now brands and agencies are searching for the freshest voices and storytellers out there, and that’s exactly what Cadence stands for.”

Along with Cadence Films, Salon represents Raucous Content, Believe Media, Pet Gorilla, LOBO, Royal Budapest, and Squeak E Clean. Cadence is repped by Diane Patrone of The Family for the East Coast territory.
