Matt Damon, and "Entourage" Stars Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier Star in Web Parody
Buster, the conceptual design division of award winning agency and production company Stun Creative, has conceived and produced a PSA for the Matt Damon endorsed charity, The “ONEXONE” Foundation. The PSA spot brings attention to the fight against hunger for children around the world and features an appearance by Academy Award winner Damon. The spot was shot on location in Ethiopia, Rwanda and Los Angeles by Buster director Vincent Ruiz-Abogado, and by Skylar James, Managing Director of the ONEXONE Foundation.

Recently, this PSA generated further awareness when Damon and Adrian Grenier, along with HBO’s “Entourage” cast member Jeremy Piven, teamed up to create a parody of the spot. (On a recent episode of “Entourage," special guest star Damon is seen interacting with members of the series, and discussing his ONEXONE charity, even chiding the “Vince” character (played by Grenier) about not having contributed enough money to the cause.)

Marc Joubert, president of the ONEXONE Foundation, said, “We are so proud of the PSA created with Buster. They did a brilliant job of communicating our message and the spirit of what ONEXONE is all about.”
Adds Jonas Morganstein, Executive Producer/Executive Creative Director of Buster “When Skylar James first started working at ONEXONE I looked through the website and thought, This organization is fantastic – why haven’t I ever heard of it before? That’s a major problem for any charity – especially an organization that functions as the fundraising arm for multiple children’s charities worldwide. After talking with Skylar and Marc, it was clear that this organization needed an anthem spot to raise awareness about the charity and inspire viewers to check out the website to learn more.”
The PSA spot opens with a healthy, nicely dressed child with her mom. The child holds up a sign, “I’M LUCKY.” The scene then cuts to many children that are not as lucky, holding up signs, “NO FOOD,” “NO WATER,” “NO SCHOOL,” “NO FUTURE.” At that point, inspirational music kicks in (via a track donated by the band Snow Patrol) and the viewer sees children holding signs that now read “WHEN I GROW UP,” “I WILL CHANGE,” “THE WORLD” – determined to make the world a better place for future children. The spot wraps up with Matt Damon’s appearance, as he holds up a sign with the web address ONEXONE.ORG, inviting viewers to log on and become part of the solution.

“Ǝvolution” Comes Full Circle At The Chelsea Film Festival
The Chelsea Film Festival, running from October 16th through October 20th, 2024, at Regal Cinemas here in Union Square, is set to host the East Coast premiere of Ǝvolution, a thought-provoking experimental micro-short film that proves big ideas can come in small packages and in perfect circles.
In just 1 minute 16 seconds, this cinematic gem by Award-Winning Director Romina Schwedler, with original music by Argentine Composer Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, explores a cycle as old as time: life leads to progress, progress leads to destruction, and destruction, well, leads back to life. But is this vicious circle unbreakable? Ǝvolution suggests the answer is yes, unless we decide to open our eyes.
Inspired by the overwhelming number of recent events that threaten human existence, Ǝvolution, possibly the shortest film in this 12th edition of the festival, plays out entirely through the symbolism of circles, cleverly illustrating —in the blink of an eye— the repeating patterns of history, and confronting viewers with the uncomfortable truth that our so-called “progress” may, in fact, be guiding us to our own ruin.Premiering at the Regal 14 Union Square, New York City, on October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., Romina Schwedler's micro-short, featuring Leah Young with cinematography by Alan J. Carmona, will be sure to spark conversations longer than the film itself! Forcing viewers to reconsider the true meaning of evolution, not just as a biological process, but as a reflection of our collective journey as humans.
With a string of festival appearances across the globe, including CineGlobe at CERN (Switzerland/France), Oscar®... Read More
