Buddha Jones, a premier entertainment advertising and marketing agency, has named Scott Carson as the company's new Head of Video Game Marketing. The announcement was made today by Buddha Jones Co-Founders/Co-Owners John Long and Dan Asma.
Prior to joining Buddha Jones, Carson had risen through the ranks to Vice President - Creative Director within the video game marketing division at Ant Farm, where he has worked since 2006. There, he directed TV, online and exhibition gameplay advertising, leading the creative efforts on behalf of such wildly successful franchises as Call of Duty and Guitar Hero, as well as for various Marvel projects.
Carson has been hired by Buddha Jones to help "reboot" the company's video game marketing efforts. Since its Video Game Division launch in 2010, the  agency has established itself in this arena with marketing campaigns on behalf of such franchises as Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Dead Island and Tomb Raider
Said Long, "Carson is one of the most respected creative executives in the world of video game marketing. His addition to our team significantly expands our talent base, and takes us to the next level of prominence in the video game space. With his charisma, vision and creativity, we believe that our video games division is now even better positioned to take on bigger and broader marketing campaigns on behalf of both established game brands, as well as future, upcoming game titles."
"I love games," adds Carson. "And I am grateful for all that I have learned these past years about working with creatives to reach and excite millions of game players. I now look forward to combining that experience with my own unique vision at Buddha Jones. Here, I'm in a position to offer clients valuable options, while continuing to serve an industry that I am truly passionate about."
During his nine years with Ant Farm (2006 - 2015,) Scott Carson earned a name as a renowned Creative Director and video game marketing executive. He earned numerous collaborative industry awards for his work, including multiple Game Marketing Awards, a Gold Effie, a Silver Cannes Lion for Call of Duty: XP, and a 2015 Grand Jury Key Art Award for the reveal trailer of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
Before his post with Ant Farm, Carson worked in the Exhibitor Relations division of Universal Pictures from 1994-2006. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University.
