Buddha Jones’ Game Department, a division of premier entertainment advertising and marketing agency Buddha Jones, enjoyed its most significant and successful E3 presence ever during the just concluded 2017 E3 event. The company made numerous contributions to high-profile projects on behalf of its major gaming clients, with E3 related gaming projects from Buddha Jones having garnered over 36-million online views to date. The announcement was made by Scott Carson, Head of Games, Buddha Jones.
“We were beyond thrilled to have had our major gaming clients showcasing our work to reach and excite fans during the course of this year’s E3!” said Carson.
Among the company’s more high-profile E3 projects were Buddha Jones’ creation of the world reveal trailer for Ubisoft®’s new game “Assassin’s Creed® Origins.” The agency handled the writing, 4K game direction, and editorial duties for the trailer, working closely with Ubisoft Montreal.
Also for E3, Buddha Jones provided the 4K game capture and editorial for the full-length trailer promoting the Microsoft Studios game “State of Decay 2.” Carson and his team worked together with San Francisco based agency 215 McCann, as well as Microsoft Studios and Undead Labs, to create the trailer for this highly-anticipated sequel.
The agency produced a number of additional E3 related promotional materials for Microsoft this year, including a trailer promoting the new features of Xbox Design Lab, a website that allows users to custom design their own Xbox controller. For this project, Buddha Jones created a gamer-focused CG piece, announcing all the new options coming to Xbox Design Lab, as well as the program’s expansion to UK, France, and Germany.
Continuing its contributions to Microsoft’s overall presence during E3 2017, Buddha Jones also produced montages for the ID@Xbox program, the briefing close, and Windows 10 games, as well as montages highlighting all of the incredible 4K capabilities of the new Xbox One X and the impressive list of games coming to the Xbox One family of consoles.
Buddha Jones’ presence during E3 didn’t end there. The agency also created the launch trailer for Activision’s upcoming release of “Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy,” which updates the classic character Crash Bandicoot for the PS4.
Outside of E3, Buddha Jones also participated in EA Play, Electronic Arts’ own press conference, where they showcased their upcoming games lineup. Buddha Jones created a story based piece for EA’s competitive gaming where they showed fans the heroes and the villains of the massively popular e-sports worlds of “FIFA” and “Madden.”
Said Carson, “Our success relative to E3 2017 is a direct reflection of our entire team’s passion for their work and for our clients. We truly enjoy working closely with our gaming clients, since we have a great deal of bandwidth to offer them. Buddha Jones prides itself on delivering agency thinking that always remains right on brand. As a team and a company that LOVES games, we pride ourselves on consistently delivering promotional pieces that hardcore gamers will love. We always hope that these gamers will be so excited about these new games, they will feel compelled to share our work with many others – even non-hardcore gamers among their family and friends.”
